Our Vision

Our mission and vision is to advance patient safety by supporting the development, integration and transfer of nurses’ and other health care professionals’ competence and confidence in healthcare mathematics and numeracy; and to engage with the international nursing and wider healthcare professional community in a programme of patient safety critical-translational research, that supports the reconfiguration of the current healthcare numeracy paradigm, and that advances:

• Mathematics & healthcare numeracy knowledge and skills
• Mapping of nursing students’ mathematics and healthcare numeracy
• Knowledge transfer processes that support the translation of primary research outcomes and IP
• Engagement of the international healthcare professional
